Here at work, we have AutoCAD LT 2011. We upgraded from 2006. When I go in and try and edit a drawing on our server which was drawn in the 2006 version, the dimensions and some fonts turn to italics.

I will delete and try over and it comes back. The weird thing is, when I look at it on my model screen, all the fonts look the same and when I print it out, ITALICS:shock:

Looking at the properties, everything looks the same but they are not..

Does anyone else know what is going on with this? I am running out of ideas.

Post the drawing. Someone here will take a look at it.

Notice the dimensions are in Italics. When I try and fix it, goes right back to italics unless I explode the dimension and manually do it. Thanks for your help.

Looks fine here. Can you post some before and after of what you are getting? A screenshot of your plot sttings would help, also.

dim2.jpgafter opening his file and double clicking on the dimensions on the left side, they appear written normal, even though I didn't intentionally change anything. the right side, which I have not touched, appear to be in italics. This is all in model space. Upon plotting from model space, it was all italics.

Seems to be something with that FONT, I switched to another font and it works fine. Weird, first time I opened the file it was fine, this last time they were italic. WEIRD

You will have to correct your FONT being used by the Dimensions. The Dimension Style is Standard which uses Text Style Standard with Arial Font, in Properties for the Dimensions the Text Style has been changed to SANSSERIF that uses a MISSING TT FONT called sas______.pfb.
