CaveMan Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Good Day Have a drawing with multiple xref's , Blocks within it. Drawing geometry is a combination of 2D and 3D. Would like to project this onto a 2D plane - "FlatShot?" and then save it as another drawing. Main reason for this is for a KeyPlan - routing diagram for a plant If anyone knows of a quck method would greatly appreciate Software been used AutoCAD 2010 & 11 Regards CaveMan Quote
rkent Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 You could probably use Flatten or SuperFlatten (search on internet for SuperFlatten) on a copy of the drawing. Flatten is an Express Tools command. Quote
tzframpton Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 The FLATSHOT command works only with Solids, not Meshes. I would highly recommend FLATSHOT as the results are extremely accurate. It will make anything 2D in the drawing, including XREF's. Quote
