houghy Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Hi Guys I have recently bought autocad 2012 for mac after years on 2006 on windows. I have lots of custom blocks that I have made over the years and want to transfer them to my mac version. On previous versions it used to be simple customize/transfer tab/ then open. This version does not appear so simple! If someone could help it would be much appreciated!! Thanks!! Quote
BlackBox Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Welcome to CADTutor! It appears that there is no way to transfer PC CUI(x) => Mac CUI(x) In any event, save this link for future reference: AutoCAD 2012 for Mac Documentation Hope this helps! Quote
houghy Posted September 3, 2011 Author Posted September 3, 2011 thanks for that... do you know any other way I could get my blocks and tool bars into my new CAD? Quote
pendean Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 You will need to create the menu items from scratch, like the first time you did. Quote
BlackBox Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Houghy, as the link in my previous post, and pendean have suggested, recreating the CUI items is necessary. Quote
BIGAL Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 (edited) I use a CUI to mnu program that basicly uncompiles the cui to a mnu txt file. works for toolbar menu's also got it from here its a VLA program not sure about on MAC After above if your mnu is added to the normal acad.mnu then cut out your bit save as a seperate mnu then just use menuload or cui load a partial menu. I have gone down the mnu path rather in the CUI I just find it easier to edit changes and other staff here can customise also dont have to know about CUI (under approval) the program is CUI to MNU.vlx will post later IT block attachments Edited September 6, 2011 by BIGAL Quote
