Alaskachick Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I am building a Object Data Tables and want to limit the input options into the fields. Specifically, I am looking for any way to limit human error/creativity while inserting values in ODT fields. For example: The ODT has a field titled Color. I want to limit the input options to blue, red or green for that field. Not yellow or purple or any other word. Ideally, I would like a pull-down menu, with the 3 color options, for the field value when I attach the OD to an object. Can pull down menus be used in the field value blank? Any ideas? Quote
Murph_map Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Not an option out of the box. You either need a custom program, even a lisp would work, or use another method. You can create classiflied objects (object classes) and limit the input to just your the three colors or go bigger and use spatial databases with rules and reactors. Quote
