How can I use the "Multi Quote This Message"

In reply box, there are few buttons on low-right part of the windows. One of them is "Multi Quote This Message"

 

In some replies, I see that the quote appears in different segments and reply is just below it, which is very handy. When I want to do this, I copy and paste the quote which is cumbersome. I suppose this button facilitates this action.

I want to have the basics on How can I use this?

For every post you wish to quote in your reply, click on the 'Multi-Quote this Message' button:

 

 

The posts to be quoted in your reply will now display this icon:

 

 

Then click the 'Reply with Quote' button on any of the posts and the multi-quoted messages will be included in the reply box.

So that means if I want to use the content of one post as a quote in another post, then this option could do this. Like copy-paste from one file to another one. Very nice feature.

 

So it is totally different from what I guessed. I think still if I want to part a post as many quotes and reply to each part separately, I have to copy and paste the quote inside that post.

It is used for quoting multiple posts in your reply.

Similar to the structure of this response? You just need to copy the [noparse]

[/noparse] and [noparse]

[/noparse] tags to enclose each part of the post you wish to quote.
