Is there any way to resize (scale) building 150% but keep size of symbols and text.

If I do "scale" x1.5 then building and symbol and text changes size, but I do not want symbols and text to change size.

When building is resized I want all symbols/text to follow the resize change so they follow the building change at same places but keep their size.

(so I do not need to replace all symbols/text)

Building and symbols are in different Layers if that can help.

I think symbols are "block"

Hi, and welcome to Cadtutor.

The short answer is "NO". If you select everything and Scale it up 1.5x, everything maintains the same size relative to everything else, it just gets "bigger". What you can do is scale everything up, then select all the blocks and reduce their scale in the Properties Palette as one operation. Then select all the Text, and change thier "height" in the Properties Palette. The texts and blocks will remain in the general proximity in relationship to the room, but depending on their insertion points, you'll probably end up having to moving them to get them exactly where you want them.

The long answer is that you should draw your building "full size" so you'll never have to scale it up or down, then change the plot scale or viewport scale to change size it's displayed/printed. My recommendation is that if you need to scale the drawing, go ahead and scale it, but scale it so it's "full size". If you need help knowing how to do that, just ask. (Also post the drawing if possible)

theres no easy fix at this point with your set up, but in the future you may consider putting your building and other what nots in model space and all your symbols and annotations in paperspace to facilitate more uniformed symbol sizing across your drawings.

Your best bet is to scale everything. I believe, there once was a lisp that will rescale text at the insertion point. Try checking the Cadalyst site for the lisp.

Thanks for your answer.

Well I changed it the hard way (timelimit) resize building and update symbols/text through replace to new locations.
