believemoore Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 I have have to use a program to do these hydraulic counts that must be done in decimal feet. So, what I want to be able to do is when I make a dimension that is 12'-8" for example, that it read 12.667. Is this possible? Thanks in advance! Quote
ReMark Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Sorry I had to delete my obviously wrong first answer but I think I know how to do this. Units: Architectural. Dimension style units: Decimal Precision: 0.000 Suffix: ' (the symbol for feet) Scale factor: 0.08333 Click OK. Test as required. Quote
believemoore Posted July 29, 2011 Author Posted July 29, 2011 Thanks for the quick reply ReMark, however I am using AutoCAD MEP 2011 and I don't see the Dimensions style units when I go into dimstyle. Quote
ReMark Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Primary Units tab. Linear Dimensions. Unit format. Quote
believemoore Posted July 29, 2011 Author Posted July 29, 2011 Ah! I missed the whole Scale factor: .0833 thing. GENIUS! thanks a bunch ReMark. Quote
