Shoey Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Hi All, Can the Extended Data properties of a block created in Civil 3D be extracted in AutoCAD Civil 3D? Actually can this data be extracted in AutoCAD or maybe a 3rd party program?? Please see attached image highlighting typical extended data properties to extract. I know about the DATAEXTRACTION command but this does not extract this kind of extended data. Many thanks Shoey Quote
KJB Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Not exactly sure what kind of object the image depicts but all C3D objects can be access via vb.net. Quote
Murph_map Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 That is Map3D Object data, you can extract it by attaching (Map Attach) to a blank dwg and run a report query or maybe a simplier way is export to shp format and you have a dbf that you can open in Excel/Access. Quote
Shoey Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 Thanks for both replies. Exporting to SHP and opening the dbf file did the trick. Cheers Murph. Shoey Quote
