Ticoh Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 (edited) Hello, I wrote down some autocad errors i got and now its time to post them here. Version: Autocad 2011 Windows: XP When i have multiple drawings opened and i close one, or when i switch to a different viewport, most of the times autocad crashes and i get: - FATAL ERROR: Unhandled acces violation reading 0x0001 Exception at 1h. The underlining part is different each time. (i've also had 0xffffffff exception at ffffffffh) When i am just drawing and suddenly get an error most of the times it this: - Runtime ERROR! - R6025 - Pure Virtual Function Call - C:/programfiles/Autocad2010/acad.exe I really need help with this problem! any suggestions? Thanks in advance! ps, i just got a fatal error when closing a drawing opened in autocad: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Edited July 11, 2011 by Ticoh Quote
SLW210 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Are you running any third-party apps, add-ons, LISP etc.? The "Runtime ERROR! - R6025" returns 179 results on Autodesk site. Do have all WindowsXP and AutoCAD updates? Quote
Ticoh Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 i am not using any other programs except for outlook. I also have all updates from windows and Autocad. ( Version: D.215.0.0 Autocad 2010 English Version 2 ) when i click the automatic updater it says the latest update has been installed. This is the first thing i tried when i noticed the issue. Quote
SLW210 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Did you click on the link I posted? See if there is a solution yet by contacting Autodesk. Quote
Ticoh Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 (edited) i have been checking the link but it seems the error occurs at many different actions. I do get fatal errors at different actions ( closing drawing and switching viewports ) but i dont get the R6025 at an actions but just suddenly when drawing.. hard to search for this when autocad does it suddenly but when i find a solution, ill post it here Thank you! ReMark Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Have you attempted a Repair of the installation? Quote
Ticoh Posted July 12, 2011 Author Posted July 12, 2011 Is it just a reinstall what you mean? I didnt try that but i will see if it works. Quote
Tiger Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Not a Reinstall - Repair is an option from the Installation menu. Quote
Ticoh Posted July 12, 2011 Author Posted July 12, 2011 ok thanks, but were can i find this? its not in autocad itself right? installation menu with the option reinstall, remove all contents, repair? Quote
ReMark Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 It is an option accessed via Windows itself. Check under Add/Remove programs. What version of Windows are you using? Quote
SLW210 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I believe it would be XP. It would be nice to know if it is 64-bit or 32-bit and the service pack. Do you have all the updates for AutoCAD? It is an option accessed via Windows itself. Check under Add/Remove programs. What version of Windows are you using? Version: Autocad 2011 Windows: XP Quote
ReMark Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 To change a program in Windows XP, follow these steps: Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs. In the Currently installed programs box, click the program that you want to remove, and then click Change or Change/Remove. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to make the changes that you want. Quote

ReMark Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Can you post the drawing so someone here can take a look at it? We know you are using AutoCAD 2011 on a computer running Windows XP. What are your computer specs? Quote
ReMark Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 You may eventually have to resort to completely uninstalling AutoCAD then reinstalling it. Follow the advice given by AutoDesk in the following link to ensure your system is ready for a clean install. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=2887771&linkID=9240697 Quote
Sittingbull Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Did you make any changes to your computer lately? Change de graphic card or drivers? Installed something new? Regards, SB Quote

What are your computer specs? It happens to all drawings. small or big, that doesnt matter. most of the time autocad crashes when i go in a viewport, but it also happens when i just insert a simple block. Maybe a full reinstall via the link you posted is the only option. if that doesnt work i might need to switch to 2011, or eventually 2012 Quote
ReMark Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Sorry but I can barely make out your system specs in the above images. Quote
