Hello, I have a problem and it is sort of tricky to describe it without verbosity, but here it is.

I am new to Autocad and I use 2002 version. Then I would like to draw some technical drawing of a hexahedron, THEN I would like to print it from three points of view top, side, perspective, all with readable dimensions.

The problem is how to change what shows up in viewports inserted in the layout.

Cannot figure out how to make change what they show.

Would be very grateful for some advice

If you double-click inside the Viewport, this is how you "activate" it. From there you can do whatever you like to manipulate the view. When you're done, type PS at the command line to exit the active Viewport and back to Layout, or known as "Paperspace".

Create the dimensions for each view you want on different layers within modelspace - plan dims, elev dims, etc., and then freeze (turn off) the dims you don't want in the plan view, elev. view, etc. To vp freeze the dims you don't want, you'll need to dblclk inside the viewport per StykFacE's response.

From inside a viewport use the VIEW command, use the premade views for Top, Right, SW, etc.
