Siberian Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I'm all new to Revit MEP and so I'm sort of just playing around with it. I'm currently watching as another sub-contractor of ours is using Revit MEP for one of our projects. I notice that IFC-files are being distributed between the architect and other companies involved. I've gotten my hands on these files. I suppose the file from the architect is used as an "x-ref" in some way, although it now includes the whole model and not only one particular level as with "normal" dwg-files. Is that about right? Also I've gotten my hands on some files with .pln and .smc extensions. Anyone know what these are? Are they used in the BIM-process in some way? Quote
