I am using Autocad 2005. For some reason, my text does not align itself with the dimension line. It is like the text rotation is set off slightly, but I have checked the rotation and it is 0.0000, and I checked the justify/align command and picked the line to place the text on, but it still "rises" as you type in the text not staying on the line. It seems to be worse when I use fractions. In other words the text climbs up hill as I type in the text moving off of the text line.. Any ideas would be appreciated..

Thanks

Kim

I remember seeing this years ago, had to do with custom .shx files I believe. What font are you using?

Here is a sample of the text and how the fractions are climbing. The regular text stays straight, but the text rises.

I am using handltr.shx (shx font) and spec2.shx for (big font). I checked the rotation in the properties box and it is set to "0"..

Any ideas ???

Thanks

There aren't any settings to change, the .shx font is flawed, live with it or use another font. The one I remember we could type ????????????????? and it would rise the same way as your example.
