Ubrigens Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Having problem with object selection when covered by other objects ie lines, arcs etc on a solid model---autocad 2011---did not seem to be a problem in 2006 version, but wondering if switching layers on and off is the only way???? Quote
Cad64 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I believe this was changed in 2007. If you have overlapping lines, hold down Shift + Spacebar and click on the line to turn selection cycling on. Then you can click on the line to cycle through the overlapping entities. Once you find the one you want, hit the Spacebar to exit selection cycling. Quote
nestly Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 It used to be CTRL+CLICK but it's SHIFT+SPACEBAR+CLICK since 2007. Better yet IMO is to use the new SELECTIONCYCLING tool in the status bar. Quote
Tyke Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 (edited) If I'm guessing correctly you are using a German version of AutoCAD. If not I'm in trouble because I only have a German version of AutoCAD 2011 on this machine. In the "Taskleiste" unten links, try switching on "wechslende Auswahl", using a crossing window highlight your objects, then click on the highlighted objects and you get a pane which lists all the entities that you have selected and you just need to click on the one you want. nestly, you've gone and done it again! Last time it was CAD64, this time me. But you've really shown him the English version of what I was trying to explain for a German version of AutoCAD. From that he should be able to get the answer:wink: Quote
Cad64 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Nestly didn't get me today, eldon did. I'm on 2010 here at home, so no selection cycling in the drafting settings for me. Quote
