Split Solid Won't Function

I seem to be having an issue with the Split Solid function. I have a solid that I think I can work with better if I can split it into three pieces. The first Trim Solid action worked fine because I was trimming off part of the shape which is not needed. But now I don't want to split and sacrifice one of the parts, I need both to remain, which is what the Split Solid function is supposed to do according to the docs. But whenever I bring up the Split dialog box, the Split Solid option is not functioning and the only options which work are the Split Face or Trim Solid. I'm using planes as the split tools.

That's strange, have you imported this model?

If you are in a Sheet Metal Part, this will not work. Multibodies are not supported there. You must first convert to a Standard modeling file.
