LearningQuickly Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Hello all! Got a text problem, and I am hoping that one of you fine users can give me a solution for it. Maybe Autodesk released an update or something that I haven’t heard about to fix this.... First off, this issue seems to be totally random, happens sporadically in different drawings. Say I have 30 objects all single line text in a drawing. If I try to move, copy, rotate, et cetera, the any of the text, it will disappear and not return unless I regen the drawing. Now not all of them will vanish like this, but some will I don’t know why. The text will then reappear, in the same location it was before I moved it. I have found a work around which is to use the "Convert to MText" express command on the affected text and the issue no longer occurs. Of course this work around has its issues, like the insertion points being relocated, or the text shifting, you know the deal. So any one care to take a stab at this one? Thanks in advance! Quote
Murph_map Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Was the dwg created in 2012 or an older version? Are you sure the objects are text and not a Civil3d label? Quote
LearningQuickly Posted June 3, 2011 Author Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) The drawing can be created in 2010 through 2012 have had the issue in a lot of different drawings with different origins. Yes, they are most definitely single line text. @mod that moved the post: Sorry, for posting in the 2D section (text issues was in the description of the section), this issue is happening in the Full Version 2012 ACAD also (others in my office are having the same issues) but since I use Civil 3D exclusively I placed that in the title of the post. Again, my bad. Edited June 3, 2011 by LearningQuickly Quote
sinc Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Sounds like this: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Civil-3D/Civil-3D-2012-text/td-p/3015714 Quote
LearningQuickly Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 Thank you for the link. My settings were DTEXTED=2 by default apparently, as was all of my co-workers. We have all set the variable to 1 and will let you know if this fixes the issue. Quote
