CADswoop Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 is there a good way to "snap" connect centerlines in a drawing, or a way to trim or extend them to the next centerline. There doesn't seem to be a good quick way in Inventor 2011 - weird - am I missing something my scenario is - I have a 90 degree elbow with some straight tangent ends- to which I've inserted centerlines to the elbow and thru the straight sections. I need to dimension from the center point, on the backside of the 90deg arc, to the face of the straight end. I can do that, but I have to use "intersect" for the centerlines instead of just having them "intersected" already Quote
fuccaro Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 I moved this question in the Inventor forum. CADswoop, here you have more chances to get your question answered. Quote
rdharvey Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 do you have a screen shot to clarify what you need a little clearer? Quote
CADswoop Posted June 1, 2011 Author Posted June 1, 2011 you can see the 2 center lines that need to snap at a certain point Quote
czc Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 If you click on the center line you can drag the endpoints. But aren't center lines supposed to cross? Quote
CADswoop Posted June 3, 2011 Author Posted June 3, 2011 there are some applications where it is more for looks than anything else. The point is, you still should be able to access the centerlines just like any other line. Quote
