khoshravan Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I have got a file from a client. There is a series of objects which I want to delete but it shows strange behavior. 1- I can not select it but non of layers of frozen or locked 2- Purge doesn't delete it neither. 3- when I zoom on it, after a second it returns to its original size. In other words it ignores the zoom command. (This is the most strange reaction and I haven't seen it before) In zoom/all, I can't get the zoom I want as it is located far from main objects and affects the over all zoom and that is why I want to get rid of it ( btw zoom/extends works) What is it and how can get rid of it? khoshravan Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Please upload the file here. Thanks. Attached please find the file. I was forced to delete some other objects because the file size exceeded the site's limit of 250kb. I use AutoCAD2010 but saved in lower version. 4 view of sule2tocadtutor.dwg Quote
khoshravan Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Type Pickfirst, make sure that is set to 1. It is set to 1. But I don't know what is this parameter? Quote
Ohnoto Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 From the ACAD Help Site: Pickfirst In the past, my delete would quit working, or appear to be, and this is how to fix that. Quote
khoshravan Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Type Pickfirst, make sure that is set to 1. From following site: http://docs.autodesk.com Controls whether you select objects before (noun-verb selection) or after you issue a command. 0 Turns off PICKFIRST; you select objects after you issue a command 1 Turns on PICKFIRST; you select objects before you issue a command Quote
nestly Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 It's a Geographic location marker created in a vertical such as Map or C3D. You can't delete it in AutoCAD as far as I know, but you can turn it off with the GEOMARKERVISIBILITY variable Quote

Cad64 Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 If you want the marker gone, copy and paste the drawing entities to a new file. Quote
SLW210 Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 To edit or delete a geographic marker 1.Click Tools Geographic Location. 2.Do one of the following: •Click Edit Current Geographic Location. •Click Remove Geographic Location. Quote
