i am currently working with this drawing but im having some trouble with some settings..i can render the materials, but i can not set the background of my drawing..meaning, the 3D Perspective Projection background...i attached a photo so you can identify the problem...and what i am seeing in my monitor. As you can see, on the first image, when i select the 3d perspective projection(under drawing windows) after selecting it, it didnt take in effect :( Also may i ask how to set the "sky effect" background? because i wanted to render this drawing to the best projection it can be...your help is highly appreciated...Thanks in Advance! Hi Arjun, oh you're from Philippines too... its nice to hear from you..btw, what im trying to say is how can i set the background?its plain black..i cant manage to change it..im idle with this drawing...yes a true sky with cloud image or anything that makes it a true 3d rendered perspective...and regarding the sky effect(cloud, sky blue) background im wondering how did you guys do that?do you do it with photoshop or other rendering applications?can i do it with my ACAD2011? thanks :)

Hello there Rewind23.Turning your global illumination and final gather might help you with your shadow problems. And try changing the time until you'll get the results you wanted.

Regarding the shadow/time of day: Perhaps changing the orientation of the building and camera position. Or add a fill light? Just a couple of thoughts, I don't have experience with this type of lighting.

Well, you have a smooth, flat, green roof. Try adding a texture to it, like a wood shingle or tile.

Also, it looks like there is no backside to the building? Maybe it's just the reflectivity of the glass, but it looks like you can see through to the other side.

Other things to think about:

Cars in the parking lot

Trees and shrubs scattered around

Some sort of background image

It's getting better. Keep working on it.

Hi cad64, your right...thats what exactly im thinking about..to put some landscaping material....il try to add some...thanks for that bright idea...im just wondering about the roof...is that texture your talking about is through "HATCH"?or a 3d tile?thanks
