What is the definition of "Vertical Products"?

Posted

something that isn't pure AutoCAD.

I use AutoCAD Electrical which comprises "vanilla" AutoCAD PLUS a module intended to help in the production of panel drawings.

Now I understand, "Revit" and "Inventor" who have also.

Thanks for the information!:D

Revit and Inventor are not vertical products. They are their own unique CAD software package.

"Vertical Products" are as follows:

  • AutoCAD Architecture
  • AutoCAD MEP
  • AutoCAD Mechanical
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D

etc.... Just remember that AutoCAD is the core of the app. Think of a vertical product as a 3rd party add on to AutoCAD, except the 3rd party is still Autodesk.
