This is probably very easy but I just can't think how to do it.

I'm trying to draw a solid button that has a 9mm diameter and a 1mm thickness with a dome shape on top to look like a real button.

The dome measures 0.2500mm high from the top of the button.

Please see the image below.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Draw half of section view and revolve...?

Why is there a dent in the first place? Any circles I have used PressPull or Extrude on don't have depressions in them.

Dentless button.

Created using the PressPull command.

All sorted thanks for responding.

I just drew half the button profile and used the revolve command to complete the button.

Thanks

No offense intended but I think that is not the best method. Circle > PressPull is more efficient in my opinion.

Yes but can you get the dome effect just using your method?

Bobzy20 ask for this shape to be revolved. Hope I am right?

Sorry, I thought your button was flat with a depression at the center.

Thanks mdbdesign for the image, that's what I did in the end.

Thanks everybody else also.

Out of curiosity, couldnt you fillet the top? I have done this to cylinder objects to a round top.

I believe fillet wouldn't give the OP the results he was looking for. There must be a slight curvature to the entire top and not just the edges is what I'm thinking.
