Getting Mitered Angles on ends of Solid and Hollow Cylindrical Tubes

Recommended Posts

I am trying to get a 30 and 45 degree mitered shape on the end of

cylindrical tubes (hollow and solid tubes).

Any direction is appreciated, Thanks in advance.

You could use the Slice command with the Surface option as one possibility. Just draw a line at the angle you need and Extrude it to create the Surface.

I think you can sweep a couple of profiles along your angled lines and then using subtract, create the correct angles needed to fit the tubing together as such:

Example of hollow tube sliced at a 45 deg angle using the Surface option.
