Hello All,

I have a co-workers machine that freezes durring startup. He is running Acad ME 2010 and everything starts up correct until it get to " _RIBBON" in the command line. After that it just freezed and stops starting up. When I go into task manager it says its "not responding" I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Acad twice to no avail. Any ideas?

neither of those options worked.

I just looked in "windows Task Manager" again and it says acad.exe is at 50 in the CPU column using 210,420 K of Mem. Usage.

I alsmost wonder if its a virus......

Probably a stupid question, but have you restarted the machine? Try running it with the firewall/antivirus disabled as this can cause problems and see what happens.

Please follow AutoDesk's advice regarding uninstalling AutoCAD in preparation for a clean install. The information is available at the AutoDesk website.

@Dink87522, I have tried restarting several times. I think the comp. has a virus. Our IT guy is looking at it right now. I'll post when I find something out.
