Spiderguy Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Hello all! I have created this spread sheet for my office, and thought some of you may be interested in it. The red cells are the variables, and they are the only ones that can be altered. I think they are self explanatory. The sheet is can be unprotected using the password in the comments in the properties of the file. Scaling Calculator.txt Change the .txt file to .xls and you're good to go! Quote
designerstuart Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 thanks for sharing this.... i am a metric man myself, but for anyone interested, here is a screenshot of the above document. Quote
Spiderguy Posted April 13, 2011 Author Posted April 13, 2011 Life would be much easier with metric - but we have to deal with what we have! BTW - if the border sizes are not correct for your border (Available Area), then unprotect the document and change those numbers to meet your border, all of the relative cells are linked to the visable dimensions shown so that you don't have to mess with any of the formulas in the cells themselves. You will notice that at a scale of 1 to 1 that the Actual Area is larger than that provided, I have it set to round to the nearest foot. if anyone has any suggestions on how to overcome this, so that it is read in feet, I guess I could make it read out as decimal feet? I hope that you guys get a lot of use out of this! Thanks, Matt Quote
