I am trying to teach myself Revit, all was going well till I try to draw Stairs, the stair is fine in plan and elev, but will not show in 3D, can anyone HELP PLEASEo:) I tried to attach a file showing the problem, but the file is too large Regards G Quote
G-Prime Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Have you tried pressing the "Reveal hidden elements button" on the bottom left hand corner? If it is hidden, right click on it, and go to unhide elements, category. Quote
Lee Roy Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Check you Visibility/Graphics Overrides. You may also have to check the checkbox in the lower left to "Show categories from all disciplines". Verify Stairs are checked to show up in your view. Quote
cadmando Posted April 20, 2011 Author Posted April 20, 2011 FRIED Many thanks for the reply, everything you say is correct, I sorted the problem doing what you advised but it took me about a week to sort. I am just learning Revit, I have used Autocad for the last 22 years. A couple of weeks ago I found a very useful Website for Revit Tutorials, if you are interested Google: The Revit Kid Again many thanks: Cadmando Quote
Lee Roy Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I would've posted sooner, but I just joined the site today. I'm glad I could help. Any questions you have, feel free to message me and ask, I've been using Revit very extensively for the past 3-4 years and am always willing to help. Quote
PotGuy Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 A very late thanks from me Lee Roy! Also, is this your first ever post?! Quote
phil2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 Hi I am facing the same issue....the staircase is only vied in plan but neither section , hidden, wireframe nor in 3d view. I have checked all the possibility. Please help me. It was shown in my earlier 3d view .. Thanks Philip Quote
RobDraw Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 If you've checked all the possibilities, what could be left? These kinds of things are best solved by digging into the model. There more than 30 possible reasons for something not showing in a particular views. Sharing the model would be beneficial. See here for a list of the top reasons: https://www.revitforum.org/showthread.php/441-Can-t-see-it-in-the-view-Here-s-33-reasons-maybe-why Good luck! Quote
halam Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 They can be combined. So there are about 33^32 combinations for keeping your mind stuck in Revit. Rev' that.. 1 Quote
