f700es Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Following up on the hijacked "AutoCAD on Mac" thread I found another disk partitioning tool live-cd. Have a look. Parted Magic OS live-cd Quote
SLW210 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Definitely going give that a look this weekend. I will post back here with any results or thoughts. Quote
SLW210 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I just finished burning an Ubuntu CD and a Parted Magic Live CD. If I feel up to it I will try running them tonight. As a side note, I downloaded and used InfraRecorder to do the burning. I give it an A+. Quote
SLW210 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Problem with the Parted Magic Live CD. It loaded up fine, but my USB mouse and PS/2 Keyboard didn't work. Not an uncommon problem I found out, most reverted to an older release, but I am going to give the latest release another try tonight. It looks like the cat's pajamas, I cant wait to get it going. If you have any ideas on getting the mouse and keyboard working chime in. Quote
f700es Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 It didn't? Last time I booted into I thought my USB mouse and keyboard worked (some time ago). Quote
f700es Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 As a side note, I downloaded and used InfraRecorder to do the burning. I give it an A+. I like Img Burn myself but I will look at InfraRecorder myself. Quote
SLW210 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 It was a no-go again on the mouse/keyboard working. Mouse works right up till it gives me the console. I am going to try some older version. Do you have the latest version? Latest is 5.10 Quote
f700es Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 I have no idea. I had a copy at home from last year. I am in Orlando at the moment. Quote
SLW210 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 You would have an older version. I am going to give 5.8 a try. You are just up the road, I am 2 hrs away. Quote
