TiffF Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 I recently upgraded to a new computer and CAD Civil 3D 2011. I have always had it set up to when I selected a node the attributes (description, point number, etc..) for it would show up in the properties. Now I can only view them by double clicking the node. Is there a way to get them to display in the properties again? Quote
SLW210 Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 You can assign the Double-Click on an Attribute to open Properties instead of the advanced attribute editor through the CUI. Quote
TiffF Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 But I want it to show both the properties and the attributes. The attributes used to normally just be in teh bottom on the properties panel Quote
SLW210 Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 If I select an Attributed block in AutoCAD 2011, select properties, the attributes are listed at the bottom. Maybe Civil has changed this. Quote
TiffF Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 Ya, that's exactly how mine used to be. I hope there's a way to restore it like that because having to double click it a pain. Quote
BlackBox Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 *I could be mistaken*, but it sounds to me like the OP is accustom to viewing Object Data (OD) in the properties pane, and not Attribute Data, as nodes do not contain attributes, blocks do. Quote

Are you sure the block you selected has the Attributes? Or maybe the attributes are nested into that block. Quote
BlackBox Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 This is a picture to show what I mean. I understand what you mean, and believe that you're missing the point made in post #6... to clear it up once and for all, perhaps you could post a sample drawing for us to take alook at? Quote
TiffF Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 I can double click on any of the nodes and the attributes will show up. They just don't show up on the side in the properties anymore. They used to even in this drawing but in the old program the new one doesn't seem to have it in the properties. Quote

TiffF Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 This is what it looks like. They all have attributes when double clicked. Quote
TiffF Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 THis is the attributes that show up for one of them after double clicked. Quote
BlackBox Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 This thread is of great interest to me, as I also use Land Desktop 2009, and Land Desktop Enabled Map 2009, and I cannot see Attribute/Object Data in the properties pane from Map, but I can see both from Land Desktop. Quick searches on Google have yielded very little by way of a solution... I hope both of our problems are resolved soon. Quote
TiffF Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 Ya in Map I actually had it but now in Civil I don't. My boss had this issue, but he just rebooted and it was back. Quote
