Ferronovum Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Hello everyone. I recently bought a new setup since my old computer got fried. Almost caught fire. Never a cheap powerunit again. New setup is as follow: MB: Asus P6P67 Deluxe CPU: Intel i7 2600k RAM: Corsair XMS 1600MHz 2x4GB System HDD: Intel X25-M G2 120GB SSD Storage HDD: WD Green 1TB PSU: Corsair CMPSU-750AX CPU-cooler: Noctua NH-U9B SE2 Optical: Samsung SH-B123L GPU: PNY Quadro 600 DisplayPort 1GB Display: acer AL2216W I am very pleased with this setup exept the graphic. WEI in Windows 7 give graphic only 6,6 while the rest is around 7,8. 3DMark 11 gives about 3-4 fps in all exept Physics where it is about 22 fps. In AutoCAD 2011 it feels slower than my old computer with a poor AGP GPU. All drivers is updated to latest. Is Quadro 600 really this bad? Is there any benchmark-prog for CAD cards? Any ideas of what to do? Sadly I got the stuff, mounted it and went away for a while so I have passed the date for the return policy. Quote
tzframpton Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 1st off, you have an entry level workstation graphics accelerator, not a gaming graphics accelerator. I will say that the benchmarks are misleading since they are tracking "gaming performance" which yields much different results than what this card offers in that category. So don't let it make you feel uncomfortable at all, it is a good card for CAD and Video related programs. Still, it is entry level so don't expect top notch performance when dealing with robust 3D CAD design files. Quote
SLW210 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Go to http://www.cadalyst.com/benchmark-test They also review different cards. Quote
