it sounds like you need to draw the item in 3d and have multiple viewports in paper space showing the design from various views, right?

so - have you drawn it in 3d?

Draw your objects in 3D in model space at full size.

Switch to your paper space Layout.

Create a viewport, or more than one viewport, using the MView command.

Assign a scale to the viewport.

Lock the viewport display.

Your annotation can be either in model space or in your layout. If in model space use Annotative Scaling.

Put your title block and border however in your Layout as that is where it really belongs.

Plot from your layout at a scale of 1:1 and let AutoCAD handle scaling your viewport(s) using the scales you assigned to them.

Yes, you can put also in same paper....

Read Remark's instructions carefully. He told you exactly how to do it.

This is an example of the use of MView in a paper space layout. I used the options "4" and "Fit" to create the four viewports and fit them to an ANSI B (11.00x17.00) sheet.

Each viewport is the same scale. Since the object, an auger support, was fairly small to begin with I could use a scale of 1:1 for my viewports. I've elected to show a top, front, right side and SE isometric view. I could have gone with other choices if so desired.
