tutt Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Why do I get this when I try to use the bedit command? It also happens if I right-click a block and choose "Block Editor". Thank you/tutt Quote
CyberAngel Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 When I see this happen, it's usually because I'm trying to edit an anonymous block. You're not allowed to do that. The names of anonymous blocks start with an asterisk (*). Quote
tutt Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 That may be right, but this problem occurs everytime I use bedit command, and in every dwg I have. It´s like the command itself have been deleted from Autocad :S Thank you, though Quote

Sittingbull Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Can you find the command in acad.pgp? Quote
ccowgill Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 has block editor been disabled? I'm not sure if Blockeditlock is what could be causing this issue. Quote
ccowgill Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 nevermind, that wont tell you it is an unknown command. perhaps someone redefined it. try typing in .bedit (notice the . in front of the bedit) Quote
tutt Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 Sitting bull: Yes, in one row, it says: "BE, *BEDIT" Nowhere else, though. ccowgill: Blockeditlock is set to 0 .bedit gives the same: "Unknown command "BEDIT". Press F1 for help." :S:S Quote
Smirnoff Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Try invoke it as _.BEDIT if it is works, restore original command: Command: redefine Enter command name: bedit Quote
tutt Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 Hi Smirnoff! I followed your advise and it gave me this: "Command: redefine Enter command name: bedit Unknown command name." Quote
Smirnoff Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 _.BEDIT also don't works? It seems some *.dll file missed. Commands with "_." must works in any case, undefined and in any national AutoCAD versions. If it don't works you have serious problem with your AutoCAD. Reinstall it. Quote
Sittingbull Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 You don't have any lisp loading on startup do ya? Quote
tutt Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 Smirnoff: "Command: _.bedit Unknown command "BEDIT". Press F1 for help." But it seems so unnecessary to reinstall, since I don´t have any other problems with it :S sittingbull: lost in Stupid Parenthesis? but no, actually I don´t even know what lisp is or means Quote
tutt Posted February 9, 2011 Author Posted February 9, 2011 SLW210: Demandload was set "3" already. Quote
SLW210 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 All you can do is repair or uninstall/reinstall. Quote
