Sheet Sets - Create New Sheet in Current Drawing

I'm thinking about using sheet sets to manage projects better and so I can use fields in my title block. I want to use the sheet set manager to add sheets to my plans but every time I create a new sheet it creates a new .dwg file. Is possble to just create a new layout in the current drawing?

You can create the tab as normal, then import it into your SS. To get the same title block as per your SS template, you could use the Right-Click --> From Template option to create it.

But I like when I create a new sheet with the sheet set manager it asks me for sheet number and sheet name. Is it not possible to use the sheet set manager to create new tabs?

Sorry for coming back only now (had to go through previous posts due to this site being off-line).

You could use SS to create a "normal" new DWG as a sheet. Then import that tab into the original DWG. Remove the sheet from the SS, then add the new imported tab into the SS. Then you can go and delete the DWG created as the sheet. A bit convoluted, but unfortunately SS for some arb reason makes sheets as if you're still working in release 14 in the 90's (when there was one one PS) - and you'll still have to renumber as the numbering may become screwed. There doesn't seem to be any way to make it use multiple tabs as was introduced in release 15 (2000).
