cbuckner Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I am using AutoCAD Map 3D 2010. I have inserted my shp files of my points and a basemap that I use for ArcGIS. I can draw a polyline to connect my points and the polyline is visible and I save my map and close it down. But when I open the map again the polyline is not visible, selectable or anything. It will flash on the screen if i click the save button but then it disappears again. Does anyone know what the problem could be? It's driving me crazy! Quote
mark3h Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Make sure that "map layer" is ticked in the task pane box. Had a similar problem as it made itself active when i drew the polyline but when i reopened, the default was for it to be switched off. Hope that helps. Quote
mjung Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 I realize this is an old post but wanted to thank mark3h for the solution. Ran across this issue today and sure enough I had unchecked the "Map Base" on the Task pane. Who would have thought the task pane would effect plain polylines in the drawing. Quote
