Dido Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Hello everyone, Can someone please help me to loft these two objects with a helix curve as a guide? Please take a look below Loft.dwg file: http://www.2shared.com/photo/Wwl9ccEG/Loft.html It's created in AutoCAD 2010. The reason why I ask for this help is in get me a "The selected entities are not valid" error message. Please advance Dido Quote
JPlanera Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 looks like SWEEP is what you want to do here Quote
Dido Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 No, when I do the Sweep command, the result is not what I am expected. Then I search the help files of Loft command. After see the description, the Loft command is right what I want rather than Sweep command. Too bad, there is a problem on applying Loft command as I described on my previous message, and I can't handle this alone. Quote
JPlanera Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I would love to look at your file but you should attach it using the CADTutor system. Manage attachments in the Go Advanced area of the reply window Quote
Dido Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 I can't attach any file yet because, AFAIK, my posts is not ten posts yet, Please CMIIW. Please send your email to me, then I will send the .dwg to you via email. Quote

ReMark Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 If you are now using 2010 can you change your profile to reflect that fact? Thanks. Quote
ReMark Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I'd take a look at it but my rule is I don't download files from sites like that no matter how reputable they say they are. Half their setup (exe) files carry a payload of viruses. Quote
JPlanera Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 (edited) Your problem was that your turn height was exactly the sam as your "thread" height which caused an overlapp error. I made the turn height 3.001 and it worked fine. Also, I made your 3dpoly a helix... So now, what version of autocad are you REALLY using??? Edit: Oh BTW, I used SWEEP.....
