Tiger Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 What is it that you are missing? The colors? Or that the Layout is bigger than the plot preview? Quote
mikel21 Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 the other details were missing sir, if you can look closely the layout is showing details on a specific area of the design (sorry for making the plot preview in monochrome). but when i try plotting it the details dont show, only the general layout is showing. Tiger Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 ma'am - not sir, if we want to be all formal about it, otherwise I am just Tiger The most common reason that stuff is not plotted is that the layer that they objects are on (type LAYER to bring up the layer manager) is set to non-plottable. In the Layer Manager, scroll to the right until you find the column with little printer icons in (my autocad is down for maintnence so can't check what its called). Find the layer in question and see if that layer has a red stripe across the printer icon. Click on the icon to set it to plot and try again. If the layer in question is named DEFPOINT, you can't change it to plot. That is just the way it is. Then you need to move all the stuff from that layer to another (preferably a new) layer. Quote
rkent Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 You may have the title block on a non-plotting layer. Check the layer the TB is on and make sure it is one that plots. Are you using extents, window, layout, etc. for the area to plot when you go into your plotting dialog? Quote
mikel21 Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 sorry ma'am, i mean tiger. just tried the layers and was still the same, i was reading the same thing on this site thats why i tried to ask the question. and also the layer is not on defpoint. if you like i can send the file but im not sure whats the maximum size for an attachment here. rkent - i checked the TB layer and its fine. also i tried plotting on display, window, layout and extents and its still the same Quote
rkent Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 What layer is the title block on and what is the exact color for that layer? Quote
