kwortman Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 This is my first thread in this forum, let me know if it is in the incorrect area. Thanks. I am using ABS2006. After starting the line command, I select the center point of a circle (which is overlapping an xref). My Ortho is on and my OSnaps are on. I then type @3' Thanks in advance. Quote
hotrodz0321 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 type UNITS, click the direction button. make sure your base angle is 0 degrees East Quote
hotrodz0321 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Im assuming this worked for you. I tried drawing a line with the setting at 90 and it did what you described happened to you. Setting at 0 East will fix it....just in case anyone else ever has this problem and finds this thread. Quote
kwortman Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 No, unfortunately. The units are set to a zero base angle. It's weird how the endpoint of the line wants to snap to a point on the xref when the cursor is near the xref itself. Iwould think that the 0 (zero) would overwrite the snap function. see attachments. Quote
kwortman Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 It may be an issue with the install. Now some of the OSnaps are not working. Thanks for all of the help. Quote
hotrodz0321 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 what about OPTIONS, User Preferences tab, then go where it says priority for coordinate data entry, make sure "keyboard entry" or "keyboard entry except scripts" is checked Quote
kwortman Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 That did it, thanks a lot:D Quote
