Bennymac777 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I recently had my computer rebuild and need to install autocad again. I don't know the serial number of the autocad I had. I do have the physical CD but no serial number. Is there a file in bedded in the AutoCAD folder that shows what your serial number is? Quote
ReMark Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Your serial number will appear on the back of the case your software shipped in. It should be easy to spot as it will be black letters on a yellow background and look something like this: SN-Group# 123-45678900 CDkey: N/A If you don't have your case then call your authorized reseller and they should be able to provide you with the information once you can prove to them who you are. Bennymac777 Posted November 29, 2010 Author Posted November 29, 2010 I don't have the box or the computer, just the back up file structure. Any help further? Quote
Cad64 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 You said you have the physical CD, but now you're saying you only have the backup file structure? Contact Autodesk or your reseller. They should have your name and information on file. You will probably have to pay a small fee, but they should be able to send you a replacement disk. Quote
ReMark Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 No box. No computer. Just the CD. Seems you have only one option then. Quote
nestly Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Assuming your software is legal, call Autodesk. Note: If you have lost your serial number, contact the Autodesk Business Center (ABC) at 800-538-6401 for assistance. Quote
