Okay. After wondering how to fix this for two years. I have finally found an answer that worked for me.

 

On your properties pallette => right click => allow docking => autohide => change to icon(instead of text)

 

Believe it or not, this simple fix has resolved the issue for myself, and hopefully everyone else.
