designer123
Hello everybody, I am just learning Autodesk Revit structure suite 2009. I have created a 3d steel structure and i want to import it in Autocad to detail the connections. I want to detail the connections with the new Autodesk Structural detailing (ASD). I already tried the following : save the views in Revit in dwg or dxf format. When i open them in Autocad all the 3D info is lost. I have read that there is an Revit extension which adds CIS/2 export to Revit. Can this file be opened in Autocad ASD? I can't find any information about the interaction between Revit and Autocad ASD. Is this because the program is so new? Has anyone experience with this? Islandboy
Hi We are new to Revit Structures as well and have been trying the export function to civil 3d. It seems that if you are in plan view of your model and you export, this will export only the 2d info. You need to be in a 3d view to export the 3d info. Try this and see. good luck
