kwiaci Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Hi Everyone ! I have some problems with ading sky to my drawing while rendering and at all. I read all decs and I can't find out what's wrong. Here is a screenshot of what I have now with properties shown. Can you tell me how to add a sky in a background ? I have LIGHTINGUNITS set to 2. Quote
ReMark Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Do you simply want to add a background or do you want to add sunlight to a scene? Quote
kwiaci Posted November 16, 2010 Author Posted November 16, 2010 I want to add sunlight to a scene. I want to have a nice exterior picture with such a sky with sun. Quote
ReMark Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Do you have Sky Background with Illumination enabled? Quote

ReMark Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Above mentioned tutorial can be downloaded from here. Includes a dwg file as well. Perhaps it will answer your question. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=10975906&linkID=9240615 Quote
Bill Tillman Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I'm not clear on your settings but I found my problem in turning on the Sky was due to PERSPECTIVE variable being set to 0, not to 1. The sky won't turn on or allow you to turn it on unless this variable is set to 1. Quote
kwiaci Posted November 17, 2010 Author Posted November 17, 2010 Thanks guys ! PERSPETIVE was a problem. Now everything works fine. I couldn't find this command on a ribbon, where it is ? Quote
Bill Tillman Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 I hate the ribbon and get rid of it immediately. It's a personal choice. I am a very fast typist and learned long ago that moving your hands between your keyboard and your mouse is time consuming. Worked at a place where they refused to even consider anyone for employment who couldn't use the HOT+KEYS. Anyway I use the command window alot of the time and for this one I just type PERSPECTIVE.
