JD Mather Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) Can you zip and attach what you have completed so far? You might read this document http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/skillsusa%20university.pdf Edited November 15, 2010 by JD Mather Quote
MarkFlayler Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Revolve is made is a quarter section, not half, without seeing your files, that is probably your issue there. To make a second solid body and then Boolean it with the first you would use the New Solid option found in most dialog boxes for your second feature. After you have two solids, use Combine to Boolean them. Then invest in training. If you are just picking up this software and have not had at least an intro class or someone set up CAD standards with it you are going to working VERY ineffectively. Quote

sumangh01 Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 Hi JD, can you please tell me how do you made this part. means the process or if possible can you please upload the file itself. Quote
JD Mather Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Do you have the actual part or something similar that you could photograph? I fudged the part as there seemed to be missing dimensions or incorrect views in the 2D drawing you posted. Quote
sumangh01 Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Hi JD, i do not have any photograph as these is the new item going to add with old one. actually it is going to be used as a cap of an exposed part. means extended parts will be inserted in the groove of this part and welded. but it should be like the image you attached in previous post. there may be some dimension mismatch or wrong dimension. i need to correct it. thanks for your support.
