tools "not found"

for example when i click on "Door - Imperial"

i get the message

"Source drawing "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2010\Sample\Dynamic

Blocks\Architectural - Imperial.dwg" for block "Door - Imperial" not found."

what do i need to do to fix this???

Did you install sample files when you installed AutoCAD and have you verified the path does exist?

i didnt download it so i dont know about the first, how would i verify that it does exist?

Sample dynamic blocks are not downloads. Normally they would be loaded as part of the installation process unless you decided on a "custom" installation and neglected to indicate that you wanted them.

 

You can try to fix the problem by running the REPAIR option from the Windows Add/Remove Programs feature just have your installation DVD on hand as you will probably be asked to insert it in the DVD drive at some point.
