I usually forgot to click or lock my viewport every time I work in AutoCad, so when I go back to paperspace boom I can not see the border of my viewport it was always entirely zoom at max so need to know how I can go back to paperspace without any zoom max or i can see again the border of my viewport, I usually make another layout but it's time consuming, any help is appreciated thanks in advance. (AutoCad 2005 that I used in my work).

You can pick the MODEL/PAPER icon at the bottom of the screen to toggle between paperspace and modelspace. Once back in PS you can zoom extents, then reset the viewport scale and lock it. You can also just type paperspace and hit enter. PS might be set as an alias so type PS and hit enter to start.

Prior to leaving modelspace you can also keep hitting zoom, previous to get back to the scale factor you started at, then you would go back out to Paperspace.

Hi,

I believe that you can try zoom/previous or try some undo. However, if you have already save/close the drawing, it would be more difficult.

I believe that autocad does keep a history of actions done so that you can do the undo in one drawing session. I don't know if one can have access and tamper with it to do undo after save/close.

If you are working on known scale and alignment, you can easily restart from scratch. You can use vpmax and vpmin to avoid such pitfalls and use pan or -pan (pan with points)

Nicolas.

There are two commands that may help: MS - MSSPACE - Model Space PS -PSSPACE- paperspace. You can use these without having to double click the viewport or paperspace areas.

Thanks for the all replied , will do what you all suggested, but about going back to undo , Last time I work and save a lot of changes , when I went back to PS it shows I'm in nowhere I mean I can't see the border of the paperspace, so I can't undo anymore because I gonna lose all the work I did. So maybe I gonna try next time PS first, thanks again. sorry I was away and forgot my post here.
