TheyCallMeJohn Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Hello All, I am having some difficulty with circles & lookup parameters in my dynamic blocks. I have two circles at the end of a rod and I want to have it set so that when the users selects equipment A using a lookup, circle 1 gets set to a certain radii and circle 2 gets set to a different radii. If a user selects equipment b, circle 1 gets set to a certain radii and circle 2 gets set to another different radii and so on so forth. Also I can not use my visibility parameter for this as it is getting used for something else in the block. Any help would be appreciated. Quote
JPlanera Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 For this to work, you need to apply a distance paramter from the center, to the edge of your circle. Then apply a scale action to the distance parameter. Along with that, a lookup table can be generated where the distance input property will be the amount you want your circle scaled, and the lookup property will be your "equipment A" assignment etc... I tried doing something like that last night and couldn't get it to work. I will try and mess around with it some more this weekend. Do you know of any good tutorials that would help with this? I have gone through a dozen or so but they all kinda went over the same basic stuff. I guess at least I know I am on the right track. Quote
