Hello-

I am doing a still rendering, which took 6 hours to render the first time. The designer changed the placement of one object in the scene, and I wanted to know if it's possible to only render part of the whole scene; like in accurender- where you select a small window, and only render that part.

Thanks so much.

What version of Studio Max are you using?

In 2011 you can choose to render View, Selected, Region, Crop or Blow Up. I believe these options were available in 2010 also, but I don't remember if they were available in earlier versions.

Just go to the Rendering Menu and select "Rendered Frame Window". This will open the render window, and in the upper left corner, under "Area to Render" there is a list box with the various options. I would suggest playing around with the different options so you can get a feel for how they work and how you can use them to your advantage.
