Creating a Chamferd box with one side that has an arc

I am trying to model a piece that is basically box with chamfered edges, but I want the top of the box to have a arc or curve upward.....how can I do this??? it is driving me crazy.

Can you post a sketch of what you're trying to do? I don't understand the part about the curve upward? :unsure:

So in this pic, take one of the side pieces by itself....it is a chamfered box in its most basic form...cut out the shapes and holes in the middle of it and you have the side almost complete except the top would still be parallel to the floor instead of arcing upward....does that make sense?

That makes sense, but then how do I chamfer all the edges after the extrusion is done?

The same way you would if just created a box. Select all the edges you want to chamfer and then use the Chamfer tool.

One more rookie question....when I draw two lines intersecting, how can I trim off the sections extending past the intersection?
