Solidworks and Inventor are both more expensive than Autocad.

 

Inventor includes AutoCAD for "free".

I am talking South Africa here, and although I cannot vouch for Inventor which most probably is in line with Rivit, I would in terms of business in this country, assume the prices to be comparitive with full SolidWorks, which costs $5600.00.

If it is not then there is a serious problem as we also have the alternative of Alibre at 30% the cost.

 

As previously mentioned Autodesk product prices are astronomical in this country and why I ask, as we have become a developing country?

Yes, but it's still more expensive than just buying Autocad.

 

The OP wants Autocad, but can't afford to pay $4,000. So how is he going to swing $5,300? And that's the U.S. cost. I don't know what the cost is in South Africa? Double maybe?
