Problem with leaders in a dimension?

Autocad 2011 makes this:

 

This is what I want:

 

 

Pleas excuse the crappy photoshop job.

but notice that the text bottom line is aligned to the middle of the leader landing

and the text is left justified.

 

Is there a way to make autocad's dimensioning do this automatically

without me having to explode them and move them myself?
