I think the main problem was I didn't read the part where ReMark said, 'start by rotating it'.

Another school boy error!

Alright now. We'll have no skipping posts now. No jumping ahead of ourselves. Take everything in order and proceed methodically.

I changed the precision setting for Angle to 0.0000 then did a List of the line I drew

How do I change the precision setting for Angle to 0.0000?

Use the UNITS command. This brings up the Drawing Units dialog window. Look to the right where it says Angle.

I drew a vertical line at the open end of one leg from quadrant to quadrant. I changed the precision setting for Angle to 0.0000 then did a List of the line I drew. This told me the angle was something like 72.2827.

Ok I opened the drawing I sent you and I've drawn a line from quadrant to quadrant at the open end of one leg like in your image FR_1.jpg. I then changed the precision setting for Angle to 0.0000 then did a List of the line I drew but the list doesn't tell me any angle?

Ok cheers - I was using a Polyline which I didn't think would make any difference.

Anyway I got an angle of 252.2827 so I rotated it -252.2827 and it is now standing upright - wonderful.

On to the next part now....

I'll take that as a sign of progress then.
