Blademan Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 When i try to install 2009 ist of all it won't install it to c:\Program files\Autocad2009, I had to create the folder then the process stops and a box with a red cross in it pops up. I've tried to install twice, the 1st box stated MSI5E4E, the 2nd time MSI6EBD / MSI5610, I've no idea what these mean (only a computor novice) I only have the option to click ok, it then proceeds to tell me it is installed. When i try to launch AutoCAD2009 a box appears saying " This application has failed because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more details". I've no idea what this means either. I'm running Windows Vista Business service pack 2 32bit. Can anyone help Quote
ReMark Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Blademan: Seek and ye shall find. A search of the AutoDesk website on the phrase that starts "This application failed because..." specificially mentions AutoCAD 2009 and Vista. You might want to take a look at it. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?linkID=9240817&id=12567852&siteID=123112 Quote
