sandiegophil Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Hello, I would like to know if your company allows multiple data shortcut folders on a per project basis. I am finding that, at my place of employment, some of the staff want a shortcut folder for each phase of work, 20%, 50% and 100%. Others prefer a single shortcut folder for all phases. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with similar experiences. Thanks, Phil Quote
BlackBox Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I understand you to be describing two different things... project milestones, and separate phases of work. My employers presently uses a method where we work from an 'Active' directory, which includes a single Data Shortcuts folder. At given project milestones we 'Archive' the project, before continuing with the same project (or phase if you will). Separately, for example, I am presently working on a three-phase project, where each phase has it's own 'Active' directory structure, as they are technically their own ongoing project. Each phase has it's own schedule for milestones, etc. Admittedly, this is my personal experience, and I understand that each company has their own methodology. Hope this helps! Quote
