CyberAngel Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 So I have a surveyor's drawing, with what is probably an old site plan xrefed into it. When I try to Quick Select, I get a window saying "7 object(s) not selected." There are blocks I can't purge, and I can't find any instances of them in the drawing; could they be locked away somewhere? All the layers are on & thawed. I'm thinking the old plan was in C3D2010 and exported to '07 for our use, so there are proxy objects that don't register as proxies. This has happened before. The standard response seems to be, "Wblock the visible stuff to a new drawing," but I'd like to know what the problem is so it doesn't happen again. Quote
sinc Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Your best bet might be to prune the drawing as much as possible, and then post the result so people can take a look. Quote

Thanks, but the drawings are both around 2MB. If I pruned them down enough to post them, that would probably have fixed the trouble. Instead I (you guessed it) wblocked everything into another drawing. Oh, and the "objects not selected" thing? An audit fixed it. Thanks anyway. Quote
